The Department of Information and Communication Technology (JTMK) is a main department of Politeknik Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin that began operations in the July 2007 session, located at Level 3, JKE.

Starting from the June 2016 session, JTMK offers the Diploma in Information Technology (Digital Technology), replacing the Diploma in Information Technology (Programming). The programme has achieved the quality standards set by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and helped PSMZA earn recognition as a Premier Digital Tech Institution from the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).
